In order to meet these values in series production, it is necessary to have processes, equipment and software that meet the requirements.
The aerosol deposition technique has hardly been used in industry so far - yet it gives the user great freedom in the choice of substrate and coating material. A wide variety of coating powders can be applied to the component in a rough vacuum at room temperature.
The series of standards of DIN EN ISO 12944 and DIN 55633 contain requirements for corrosion protection by coating systems on unalloyed and low-alloyed steel. However, the standards differ in essential points that should be considered before tendering and ordering.
