A future-oriented layout is composed of flexible, intelligently networked process modules that can be scaled according to demand. Around these requirements, Dürr provided insights into the "paint shop of the future" and answers to the changes in the market in an elaborate live team event.
A special process for surface hardening of stainless steel makes it possible to improve the seizure and corrosion resistance of stainless steel. This is shown by the results of long-term corrosion tests on fittings, for example.
After a break of one and a half years, the ZVO Surface Days took place again for the first time at the Estrel Congress Centre in Berlin. The event was somewhat smaller than usual - but the atmosphere was good and constructive.
Laser-induced plasma spectroscopy can be used to analyse the components of a surface and detect contaminations. Within the ALASKA project funded by the BMWi, this technology was successfully transferred into a fully automated unit for complex process chains.
Hot-dip galvanised components often tend to outgas due to the relatively high baking temperatures during powder coating. This is visually unattractive and also significantly weakens the corrosion protection. An appropriately matched powder coating system promises to remedy this.
A contract coater is expanding and chooses a coating plant for the new location that offers the highest possible flexibility due to its modular design. Thanks to the evaporator and ion exchanger, the waste water achieves a very high purity value.
Large steel structures or even works of art can be reliably galvanised - this is possible in Lower Saxony. The widest galvanising kettle in Germany is located here. And international business is also becoming more and more important.
With a new powder coating line with shuttle conveyor system, Interroll Conveyor GmbH can fully utilise its production capacities - also thanks to the consistent interlinking of production and the high degree of automation.
The decision to modernise a powder coating line is all the easier the better you can compare the state of the art with your own process. In this respect, the test laboratories of the major application manufacturers are a helpful place to start.
A recent benchmark study on wastewater treatment plants conducted by the Volkswagen Group clearly shows that water consumption is increasingly becoming a key performance indicator in the automotive industry. In their investigations, the VW experts focused specifically on the evaporation principle for wastewater treatment. The reason for this: membrane plants and other processes require very constant waste water for optimal functioning.
