Pero Introduces New Technology: SCOPE

The family-owned company Pero AG, based in Königsbrunn, continues to focus on development and innovation. Most recently, Pero unveiled its latest system: SCOPE. This intelligent solvent monitoring solution promises significant savings, particularly during periods of reduced machine utilization.

With rising operating costs and increasing pressure to work more sustainably, companies across all industries are being challenged to rethink their processes. In modern manufacturing, parts cleaning is essential - but it also represents a considerable cost factor.

Pero’s engineering team has recognized this challenge and developed SCOPE as a new module that can reduce the energy consumption of solvent-based cleaning systems by up to 59% - without compromising the technical cleanliness of parts. In other words, SCOPE enables high-performance cleaning with significantly greater efficiency.

How does it work? The condition of the cleaning medium is continuously monitored, including parameters like foam formation, temperature, and contamination levels. Based on this data, the distillation and heating processes can be dynamically adjusted to match actual demand. In the high-efficiency Pero N2 plant, this results in an energy reduction of 59%, measured under realistic operating conditions with 80% operation time. SCOPE also allows for savings in solvent and stabilizer usage.

Solvent-based vacuum systems are already considered one of the most environmentally friendly technologies for parts cleaning, as the solvent is fully contained in a closed-loop process. Now, with smart solvent monitoring, electricity consumption can also be significantly reduced. This marks a major gain in sustainability and a clear step toward an environmentally responsible future.

From a cost perspective, the benefits are equally compelling. With rising electricity prices, the additional investment in SCOPE quickly pays off - even under moderate energy cost scenarios.
