Our Competence

In short, DataPhysics Instruments’ laboratory measuring instruments are used whenever one liquid comes into contact with another liquid or with a solid. More specifically, the instruments can be used to determine important physical and chemical parameters, such as surface tension and surface energy, adhesion force, static and dynamic contact angles, roughness profiles, zeta potential, and destabilization mechanisms.

The productportfolio includes:

• Contact angle measuring instruments of the OCA series – optical measuring instruments for determining many chemical parameters of interfaces and surfaces, such as surface tension and surface energy, as well as static and dynamic contact angles.
• Tensiometers of the DCAT series – force-based measuring instruments for determining numerous chemical parameters of interfaces and surfaces, such as surface tension and surface energy, dynamic contact angles, as well as critical micelle concentration and adhesion force.
• SVT 25 spinning drop tensiometer  – for characterizing extremely low interfacial tensions between two liquids.
• MultiScan MS 20 dispersion stability analyzer – for investigating the stability of dispersions, meaning emulsions and suspensions, with regard to storage and long-term stability as well as destabilization mechanisms.
• ZPA 20 zeta potential analyzer – with a patented measuring method for accurately determining the surface charge or zeta potential of plate-shaped solids, membranes, fiber bundles, and powders.
• SPA 25 surface profilometer – for creating surface profiles and calculating roughness parameters.
• HGC series humidity generators – for precisely setting relative humidity in small and medium-sized measuring chambers.
