Surfunction GmbH, a pioneer in the field of laser-based surface finishing, has closed an important financing round. This was led by Capnamic, one of the leading investors for early-stage technology companies. Existing investors also got involved, showing confidence in Surfunction's technologies and growth potential.
Proprietary process developed
Surfunction GmbH has developed Direct Laser Interference Patterning (DLIP). This was done in cooperation with industrial partners and scientific institutions, including Saarland University and TU Dresden.
Producing complex surface structures
With the latest and patented generation of DLIP technology, Elypsis, it is possible to produce complex surface structures economically on an industrial scale. Applications range from antibacterial and non-stick surfaces to low-friction and highly conductive structures based on natural models.
