Wenglor presents a new series of light guiding sensors. The devices can be fitted with different sensor heads according to the modular principle and are suitable for applications where space is limited.

The new P1XD series fiber optic amplifiers or light guide sensors from the Wenglor Sensoric Group for detecting very small parts have a compact design. They can be used flexibly as they can be easily integrated into different applications. The light guiding sensors can be adjusted quickly and without tools on the device. Thanks to the modular design principle, plastic and glass light guides as well as different sensor heads can be combined - depending on the requirements of the application.

User-friendly operation

The device is operated via NFC, the weCon app or the integrated display on the sensor. Various operating principles are available, such as push-button, one-way barrier and mirror reflex. The dynamic readjustment of the P1XD series fiber optic amplifiers ensures that the set switching distance is maintained. This means that even soiling does not affect the performance of the fiber optic sensors.

For confined spaces

Fiber optic sensors are suitable for mounting in confined spaces, as the bending radius is small due to the high-flex fiber optic cables. Several mounting options and a comprehensive portfolio of sensor heads are also available.

Long range thanks to pink light mode

Some variants of the P1XD series offer an increase in light output with a pink light mode. An increased range is achieved by connecting the red and blue emitting diodes in parallel. The pink light mode can be activated by pressing a button, IO-Link or NFC.
