The P1PW contrast sensors offer three integrated operating modes. In print mark mode, reliable differentiation between mark and background is ensured by using the largest contrast difference of a color channel. In contrast mode, the evaluation of the average light intensity of all color channels ensures the detection of the smallest contrast differences. The color mode enables the reliable detection of color differences by using the signal values of all color channels. A cross-mode automatic adjustment of the light intensity during teach-in enables the contrast sensors to master even challenging process situations with colored, glossy and transparent material.
Reliable detection of contrast marks
The P1PW series is suitable for dynamic processes. Integrated step detection enables stable detection of contrast differences without the need for re-parameterization during the running process. The devices are characterized by a high switching frequency of 50 kHz and low jitter. The light intensity is automatically adjusted so that even very shiny surfaces can be inspected. The homogeneous and rectangular light spot emitted as highly visible white light detects even the smallest objects.
High level of user-friendliness
Teach-in takes place at the touch of a button. The operating mode can be set directly on the device, eliminating the need for adjustment tools. An integrated LED bar display provides information on teach-in quality and process stability during the process. Nuts that can be inserted into the housing enable flush and flexible mounting of the sensors. A plug that can be rotated by 270 degrees makes this even easier.
