In surface technology—for example, in coating, grinding, or component testing—precise distance measurements are crucial for consistent quality and process reliability. With the new P1PC series, the Wenglor Sensoric Group presents an economical alternative to the P3 series. The triangulation-based laser distance sensors enable reproducible measurement results even with high volumes and cover a wide range of applications. They can also be flexibly adapted to different areas of use.
Easy commissioning and high data availability
The P1PC sensors can be conveniently configured via NFC using the weCon app – even when powered down. An integrated 7-segment display shows the measuring distance in real time and facilitates direct control at the system. Extensive sensor data is available via the IO-Link 1.1.4 interface. With up to 2,500 measurements per second, measurement accuracy is maintained even in dynamic processes.
Reliable object detection with changing surfaces
The P1PC series delivers stable measurement results regardless of the color, brightness, or reflectivity of the surface. This makes it suitable for demanding materials and changing coating conditions. Functions such as jump detection and intensity evaluation further expand the range of possible applications. The compact 1P design and optional accessories such as protective glass, dust tube, or stainless steel protective housing enable reliable use under harsh process conditions.
