VOA: Learning coating in a practical way

In October, the VOA held a coating and QUALICOAT seminar for the surface finishing of aluminum. Around 50 participants learned about the latest from the world of aluminum in the digital seminar.

In the seminar organized by the Association for the Surface Finishing of Aluminum (VOA), several experts from the ranks of VOA member companies shared their knowledge with the 50 or so participants and gave them useful tips for practical application. QUALICOAT (Association for Quality Control in the Lacquering, Painting and Coating Industry) stands for quality-assured and controlled coating with powder and wet paint. The quality mark, which is valid worldwide, was the first item on the agenda at the seminar. The specifications incorporate the latest findings from science and research worldwide.

In Germany, the VOA is the general licensee of the QUALICOAT quality mark. In the QUALICOAT 3.0 project, it therefore took up the demand to build sustainably. Due to the potentially uncertain energy supply in combination with exploding costs for electricity and gas, the VOA also started the exchange of experiences on the topic of "energy saving" in its seminar. The VOA project group "Energy" prepares the collected, practical tips in the follow-up of the seminar and makes them available to the member companies as an aid to action.
