Saxonia Galvanik GmbH, based in Halsbrücke, is investing in the expansion of its metal electroplating facility. Despite a challenging market environment, the company has started construction of a third metal electroplating plant. Commissioning is scheduled for the first half of 2026. With the new plant, Saxonia is pursuing the goal of further expanding the selective and efficient coating of busbars and high-voltage contacts. The focus here is on resource-saving process management, which is particularly relevant for applications in electromobility and power electronics.
Expanding expertise in metal processing
The investment will allow the company to expand its technical expertise in metal processing and diversify its service portfolio. At the same time, the expansion opens up additional employment opportunities for employees, who can be deployed in a more flexible and versatile manner. According to Saxonia, the company is closing the 2025 financial year with confidence despite the difficult conditions. The investment should help to further stabilize the company and offer both customers and employees long-term planning security. Saxonia continues to serve customers from both the plastics and metal processing industries.
