Saxonia Galvanik GmbH will kick off the autumn trade fair season on October 15 in Friedrichshafen at the Fakuma (International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing). There, the company will be showcasing innovations for the sustainable production and recycling of electroplated components. "There will be other interesting trade fairs in November to look beyond the horizon," says Managing Director Stefan Tilke. For example, the company will be visiting Medica, IAA Transportation and electronica to promote sustainable surfaces.
Use of secondary materials
At Saxonia Galvanik, coated components can now be produced without chemicals such as PFAS or chromium(VI). The use of secondary materials in the production process and 100% recyclability after the end of use are also playing an increasingly important role.
New metal electroplating plant
One week after the Fakuma, the company will be exhibiting at the IZB (International Suppliers Fair) in Wolfsburg. In addition to plastic finishing, the main focus here is on metal electroplating. A new metal electroplating plant was put into operation a year ago. In addition to silver and passivation layers, the portfolio now also includes tin layers, which can be sub-nickel-plated if required. The six-fold increase in capacity has become necessary in order to meet the increasing demand for bus bars in the e-mobility sector.
