Precision Micro has expanded its production. The etching technology specialist has now received its first major order for the production of flow plates for heat exchangers.

The major order includes the delivery of etched flow plates worth 1.2 million euros. Metallic flow plates play a role in various applications, such as natural gas cooling, hydrogen electrolysis and pre-cooling in filling stations, fuel cells and carbon capture in the renewable energy sector. Their compact, complex and lightweight design reduces material costs, simplifies handling and maximizes space efficiency.

Photochemical etching process

Precision Micro's photochemical etching process applies channels to the plates that make heat transfer more efficient and improve thermal performance. The company recently invested in a second etching room due to the high demand for this process.

Pioneer in the field of etched flow plates

"With over 60 years of industry experience, Precision Micro has been a pioneer in etched flow plate technology since 1990, and this major order confirms our position as one of the largest suppliers of etched flow plates in the world," says Ben Kitson, Head of Business Development at Precision Micro.
