The UV Scan MACS is based on a patented technology. This is based on a combination of photophysics and optics and, according to the company, guarantees reliability, reproducibility and easy handling.
Simple application, exact result
The application begins with the calibration of the test strip using the macsReader. A supplied template helps with positioning under the reader's detector. In the next step, the test strip is glued to the substrate and then passes through the UV field of the system. After irradiation by the UV lamps installed there, the macsReader is used again. This determines the UV dose applied at the defined measuring point. The determined UV radiation dose is now shown on the display of the macsReader in mJ/cm². The display value is based on the sum of the measured values of the UVA, UVB and UVC ranges of the Power Puck II measuring device from EIT 2.0.
Accuracy even in areas that are difficult to access
The self-adhesive and flexible measuring strips achieve precise measurement results in horizontal UV processes, on vertical surfaces, in roller applications and in other areas that are difficult to access. The measuring strips also have a shelf life of around twelve months under normal room conditions.
