The new epoxy resin adhesiveStructalit5826 VT is a one-component epoxy resin adhesive with a very high viscosity. This allows the adhesive to be applied between the filter and filter cap as well as on the longitudinal seam of the filter fabric without undesirable run-off. Nevertheless, it has the property of wetting the filter fabric well and flowing into it, so that it builds up a high adhesive strength and thus reliably contributes to a large force and form fit.
Cures in less than a minute
Structalit5826 VT is cured thermally. It cures within a few minutes at 150°C in an oven or alternatively by induction. Due to its temperature resistance of up to 200°C, the adhesive is suitable for use in a wide variety of liquid, gas or particle filters.
Can be used in many industries
Epoxy resin-based adhesives are generally highly resistant to environmental and media influences. Structalit 5826 VT has been specially developed with particularly high resistance to oils and liquids. The adhesive has passed the reliability test for liquids in accordance with DIN 53521 (70:30 isooctane:toluene) and the oil resistance test after 1000 hours of ageing. All these properties make Structalit 5826 VT a good choice for bonding oil, gas and particle filters in many industries.
