The Polish LUM distributor NGLab has re-equipped its application laboratory. Based on STEP technology, LUM measuring devices are now available for demonstrations, test measurements and contract analysis directly in Poland. This supports customers in industry and science in determining particle surface properties (based on Hansen solubility/dispersibility parameters), particle size distribution and particle density distribution.
The new laboratory also enables direct stability and separation analysis of emulsions, suspensions and suspoemulsions in original concentration without sample pre-treatment. This is possible because the LUM-STEP technology is widely applicable. It uses both X-rays and optical wavelengths.
Comprehensive particle and dispersion analysis
The MULTI-STEP approach is used for the majority of products in the cosmetics, paints, coatings, petroleum and lubricants industries, as well as in the agrochemical industry and for selected product classes in the food and pharmaceutical industries. It can be used to realize a comprehensive multi-stage particle and dispersion analysis of a product in just one measuring cell.
- Characterization of the dispersibility of particles and sample homogeneity using X-rays
- Accelerated stability testing for all types of emulsions and suspensions using optical wavelengths
- Understanding concentration gradients in inorganic sediments, detection of inorganic particles in supernatants using X-rays
The new NGLAB application laboratory in Poland thus offers customers a comprehensive service on site.
