The vocational school center in Schwäbisch Gmünd is one of the school centers where dual training in electroplating and surface technology takes place. This year, recognition in the form of a book prize and a free one-year DGO membership went to Michael Ferahyan.
Ferahyan came into contact with surface treatment through his father. His enthusiasm for the subject certainly contributed to his above-average performance during his training with electroplating specialist Dr.-Ing. Max Schlötter in Geislingen. In the coming years, he will continue to build on his practical experience at Schlötter. He also considers it possible to pursue follow-up studies to become an electroplating technician, which is also offered at the vocational school center in Schwäbisch Gmünd - a further education that is supported by his current employer.
