The demand for skilled workers is also very high in electroplating and surface technology, so specialized training in the industry plays a key role. A good reason for the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology (DGO) to pay special tribute to outstanding graduates. The vocational school center in Schwäbisch Gmünd is one of the school centers where dual training in electroplating and surface technology takes place. This year, recognition in the form of a book prize and a free one-year DGO membership went to Michael Ferahyan.
Ferahyan came into contact with surface treatment through his father. His enthusiasm for the subject certainly contributed to his above-average performance during his training with electroplating specialist Dr.-Ing. Max Schlötter in Geislingen. In the coming years, he will continue to build on his practical experience at Schlötter. He also considers it possible to pursue follow-up studies to become an electroplating technician, which is also offered at the vocational school center in Schwäbisch Gmünd - a further education that is supported by his current employer.
