The Young Engineers Congress offers specialist lectures, soft skills training and discussions on the future of technology as well as interactive panel discussions and excursions. The Copper Association workshops will take place on Friday, April 19, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
High-performance copper materials
Under the title "Technology metal copper - how a material can change the future", Dipl.-Ing. Christian Blecking from Kupferverband e. V., Andreas Alexander from Kupferverband member cunova GmbH and Dr. Julia Dölling from DHBW Stuttgart will provide insights into the origin and processing of copper materials. Christian Blecking: "Copper and copper alloys offer an outstanding range of performance potential, which is urgently needed for the energy transition, for example."
Highly developed material solutions
The copper industry enables more efficient and durable drive solutions thanks to highly developed material solutions. It is not only indispensable in e-mobility, but also for hydrogen applications, for example. Moreover, copper has always been a circular material and is recycled. Increasing technical requirements are also leading to greater attention being paid to copper and copper alloys in research, offering exciting fields of activity for years to come. Anyone interested in finding out more about the copper industry and the numerous fields of application for the material will find further information at the Copper Association's stand. Registration for the congress is still possible on the VDI website until March 24, 2024: www.vdi.de
