Blastmann has designed a blasting robot with huge dimensions for a customer. It had to be able to process offshore components more than 48 m long, 20 m wide and 15 m high. Integrating it into a production hall required special effort. Both the hall roof and the floor had to be opened for the factory acceptance test so that the robot and control cabin could be installed through the hall roof and the two telescopes could be extended far into the floor.
Certified in accordance with the ATEX directive
The robot system includes a lifting platform that can be connected to the 10-meter telescope. The system was developed in accordance with ATEX regulations so that the lifting platform can also be used for painting work.
Smaller version on display at PaintExpo
At PaintExpo, Blastman Robotics will be presenting the little brother of this giant blast robot, including the offline programming software Blastman Studio and the control systems that enable connection to production control systems and control of various Smart Blast Room functions.
