Meeting place for the surface technology industry

Invitation to SurfaceTechnology Germany from June 4 to 6, 2024

Intensive discussions at the Surface Technology trade fair in Stuttgart

The current tasks in the surface technology industry present companies with a number of challenges. On the one hand, there are the increasing requirements for environmental protection and sustainability, the development of new materials and technologies, the growing competitive pressure, the geopolitically triggered turnaround with higher energy prices and disrupted supply chains, as well as the increasingly gloomy economic situation since the fourth quarter of 2023 at the latest. In order to remain successful in the industry, companies need to find solutions. SurfaceTechnology Germany 2024 offers a good opportunity to see crises and change as an opportunity and to use them for a new entrepreneurial direction.

Innovative technologies, investments in research and development, close cooperation with partners and customers are important prerequisites for meeting these challenges. SurfaceTechnology GERMANY, the leading international trade fair for surface technology, which will take place from June 4 - 6, 2024 in Hall 1 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre, reflects the current technological and economic challenges and offers exhibiting companies and visitors a diverse portfolio of solutions. "The new claim of SurfaceTechnology Germany, "Experience the surface of tomorrow", makes it clear that it is about much more than just the exhibition space and the display of products. In challenging times, it is extremely important to share ideas, to work together as an industry and to teach and learn in order to remain fit for the future," adds Christoph Nowak, Project Manager of SurfaceTechnology Germany at Deutsche Messe AG.

Focal points from resource efficiency to digitalization

In addition to the aforementioned topics such as climate and environmentally friendly processes, resource efficiency and sustainability, this year's event will also focus on other topics such as digitalization and automation. However, the field of AI has now also arrived in the surface industry. Other indispensable topics include electroplating, blasting technology, nano and micro technology, thermal spraying, industrial plasma and laser surface technology, coating materials, surface treatment, supply technology, services, pre-treatment, cleaning and measurement, testing and analysis technology.

Expert forum with 50 presentations

"The event's specialist forum addresses current challenges and highlights topics such as "Legal requirements for climate protection - Supply Chain Act", "Digitalization in surface technology" and provides a status quo on the topic of "REACH in surface technology - status of authorization and substitution". With around 50 presentations, the specialist forum is bigger than ever before and offers something for everyone," reports Nowak.
