From October 6 to 8, 2026, in Düsseldorf, Henkel Adhesive Technologies will present solutions for various process steps in aluminum surface treatment. These include Bonderite M-ED 11204 for compaction at moderate temperatures of approximately 85 °C. Compared to high-temperature processes, this reduces the energy required for heating and maintaining the temperature of the densification bath.
Bonderite M-AD 2000A is designed for sulfuric acid anodizing. The additive enables higher bath temperatures, thereby reducing the need for cooling. More stable bath chemistry can also reduce chemical consumption and aluminum loss, extend bath life, and shorten process times. “Aluminum finishers are under increasing pressure to improve sustainability and profitability while ensuring reliable production and high surface quality,” says Darshan Mehta, Business Development Manager for Light Metal Treatment Europe at Henkel.
Chromium-Free Pretreatment for Aluminum Coils
For coil coating, Henkel is showcasing several chromium-free processes. Bonderite M-NT 61000 is designed for the pretreatment of aluminum for architectural applications and to ensure consistent paint adhesion. M-NT 5200 can be used in both spray and dip applications.
Bonderite M-NT 811 is designed for can end stock and food packaging. The chromium-free dry-in-place pretreatment is engineered for compatibility with newer coating systems formulated without BPA-NI and PFAS.
APNR 2.0 requires no rinsing step
Henkel is offering a preview of APNR 2.0. The new primer for aluminum pretreatment is designed as a rinse-free process. The associated equipment, as well as demonstration panels and sample components, will be on display at the trade show.
In addition, Henkel is presenting a digital tool for remote monitoring of production lines. It is intended to support users in analyzing and adjusting their surface treatment processes. Henkel will be exhibiting at Aluminium 2026 in Hall 3 at Booth H68.
