Up to now, most paint shops have used a correspondingly large number of conventional ring lines for the application of their special and low-volume paints. This makes neither economic nor ecological sense. The standardized, modular EcoSupplyP special paint supply system from Dürr, on the other hand, can very flexibly provide an unlimited number of colors one after the other for application. Pigs - as the fitting bodies precisely matched to the inner diameter of the hoses are called - push the paint to the color changer and, after painting, push the residual paint back into the paint container. Because this happens completely without leaving any residue, the hose does not have to be cleaned. This reduces the consumption of both coating and rinsing agent, which is good for both the budget and the environment. While it takes days to change over a ring line to a new color, the special color supply system only takes around 20 minutes, depending on the length of the robot line and the number of robots installed.
