At the ZVO Surface Days 2024 in Leipzig in September, the 30-woman strong ZVO women's network Female (Sur)Faces will present itself for the first time. Female (Sur)Faces stands for increasing the proportion of women in electroplating and surface technology. The founders want to counteract the shortage of skilled workers by recruiting more female specialists. A women's network is not only an instrument for promoting women, but also a key factor for the success and future viability of companies and the industry.
All genders welcome
Visitors of all genders are invited to the Female (Sur)Faces event on Thursday morning, September 12, in Room 10. After an introduction to the network, five different "role models" of women who have achieved their professional goals will be presented.
Mentoring as a support tool
The event will also include a keynote speech on mentoring as a tool for knowledge transfer in companies. This instrument can be used to promote women and develop working time models. The event will conclude with a panel discussion involving the audience.
