Four years ago, BASF Coatings introduced the Glasurit 100 water-based paint series. More than 1000 workshops in 20 countries now use these coatings. BASF has evaluated the data and found confirmation that the 100 series contributes to greater productivity, higher process efficiency and product quality. It also has the lowest VOC content to date.
Shorter process times
The paint stores that use Series 100 on a daily basis report 40 percent shorter process times, which increases the throughput of a workshop. According to the paint stores, material consumption is 30 percent lower for each application. Within the Glasurit 100 series, the workshops can use paints from previous projects. This reduces consumption by 20 percent and halves the process time.
Low VOC content
BASF is now launching an information campaign based on the data collected. This will highlight the productivity gains and profitability resulting from the shorter process times. According to BASF, with a VOC content of less than 250 grams per liter, Series 100 also exceeds the globally applicable VOC requirements for coatings. In the information campaign, BASF shows how workshops can become greener by using Glasurit 100. The company is also offering training courses via the Refinity digital platform.
