At ICE Europe 2025, a UV curing chamber for installation above a water-cooled roller will be the focus of Hönle's trade fair presentation.Equipped with reflectors and UV lamps, the system enables efficient and uniform curing on sensitive and temperature-sensitive materials. Hönle's Curing Business Unit will also be presenting UV and LED UV curing systems for a wide range of coating applications at the paper, film and foil processing trade fair in Munich.
Various application possibilities
Typical applications for the UV curing chamber include the curing of coatings on technical films and the cross-linking of silicones and hotmelt/PSA adhesives. A special feature of the chamber is the optional nitrogen inertization, which reduces the residual oxygen content in the irradiation area to < 50 ppm. This leads to improved properties of the coating in terms of sensor technology, migration behavior and mechanical and chemical resistance.
The system is versatile and suitable for various materials, including paper, films and plastics.
