Among other things, Hönle will be showing the LED Spot 40 IC, which quickly cures small adhesive surfaces. Light is emitted through a 40 mm x 40 mm window, and the irradiated area can be significantly increased by changing the distance. It reaches up to 10,000 mW / cm² at 460 nm. The air-cooled high-power LED UV line source LED Powerline AC/IC 820 HP is suitable for fast and uniform curing of surfaces and achieves intensities of up to 16,000 mW/cm². The LED Powerline LC is a water-cooled version that is used for needle bonding, for example, and achieves intensities of up to 25,000 mW/cm². Here, the arrangement of the LEDs ensures optimum light distribution.
Hönle's UV LED curing units are available with different wavelengths and can thus be adapted to the transmission behavior of the parts to be joined and the absorption behavior of the adhesive or potting compound.
