One of technotrans' trade fair highlights in the area of cooling technology is a new high-efficiency chiller (KWS) - a joint project of technotrans' Holzwickede and Meinerzhagen locations. The new KWS series, with cooling capacities ranging from 100 to 1,500 kW, features an efficient evaporator and two redundant refrigeration circuits with a high level of fail-safety. By using an electronic expansion valve in combination with a continuously variable screw compressor, these refrigeration circuits enable a sliding condensing temperature control.
Together with the high-quality components installed in the unit, the solution achieves a high EER value (Energy Efficiency Ratio). Based on the application, the compressor is frequency-controlled in order to dissipate different production workloads in an energy-efficient manner. In addition, the machine is particularly compact and easy to maintain.
