Spectro Analytical Instruments received accreditation in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 from the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in March. This accreditation confirms the provider's competence to carry out calibrations of spark spectrometers in accordance with the applicable national and European standards.
No need for additional service providers
Spectro can therefore carry out conformity assessments for calibrations of spark spectrometers that are internationally recognized. Spectro customers will therefore no longer need an additional service provider for calibrations in the accredited area. Instead, calibrations can be carried out directly on site or in Spectro's in-house calibration laboratory.
Comprehensive accreditation procedure
The accreditation was preceded by an extensive testing procedure. The DAkkS auditors thoroughly examined Spectro's competence, experience, organization, resources, procedures and quality management. The DAkkS is the national accreditation body of the Federal Republic of Germany. The task of the DAkkS is to assess and confirm the competence of conformity assessment bodies, such as certification bodies, testing laboratories or calibration laboratories, on the basis of national and international norms and standards.
