Seppeler opened its modernized galvanizing plant in May. At the Salzkotten site, the company finishes and galvanizes parts and components, some of which weigh several tons. Operations have started successfully.
Optimized processes
The Seppeler Group has automated existing processes, optimized the control technology and developed closed material cycles in order to be able to produce both economically and environmentally friendly. This allows resources, raw materials and energy to be saved.
Heat recovery and energy monitoring
Heat recovery and continuous energy monitoring also contribute to the fact that Seppeler in Salzkotten is many times below the limit values for pollutant emissions. "With processes such as encapsulated pre-treatment with a downstream scrubber, we not only protect the environment, but also our employees," says Guido Röttgers, Business Unit Manager at the Salzkotten site.
A wide range of services
The boiler length of the hot-dip galvanizing plant is designed for components with a unit weight of up to 3.5 tons. Seppeler has also expanded its grinding capacities and can now also offer duplex coatings. "Thanks to the modernization, we have a broad range of services despite our high level of specialization," explains Guido Röttgers.
