With 826 exhibitors and 40,000 trade visitors from 124 nations, Schweissen & Schneiden confirmed its position as the world's leading trade fair for joining, cutting and coating technology. Experts came mainly from the steel, mechanical engineering and automotive industries, but also from wholesale, the service sector and the energy industry, to find out about new solutions at Schweissen & Schneiden. One third of the visitors used the trade show to make or prepare investments. Thus, the trade show recorded a higher order volume than the previous event.
Innovations from many areas were in demand: networked cutting systems, sustainable welding gases, high-quality protective equipment or efficient and resource-saving software. The industry is part of many other sectors of the economy, such as automotive or architecture. In 2022, the production value of German welding technology totaled 4.11 billion euros.
