The frequency-controlled refrigeration compressor and the speed-controlled fan of the new refrigeration dryer ensure optimum operation adapted to actual requirements. The new models are also climate-friendly.

Boge announces the development of a new generation of energy-efficient DT refrigeration dryers. The new models complement the DT 4 to DT 140 refrigeration dryers, which ensure a constant dew point of 3 °C at a delivery rate of 0.4 to 14m3/min. A delivery rate of 18 to 75 m³/min is now available. The units are available with fixed or frequency control and optionally with water cooling. An important component of the new generation is the hermetically sealed refrigeration scroll compressor, which is also available as a frequency-controlled version (DT 180 F) from a flow rate of 18 m³/min.

Economical and flexible

The low-noise refrigeration scroll compressor of the DT series enables energy-efficient operation. The dryer adapts the energy consumption flexibly to the heat load and flow rate of the coolant, requires lower starting currents and thus significantly reduces the power consumption, especially in the partial load range. The demand-dependent adjustment minimizes energy costs. The frequency control ensures that the drying performance is optimal even at low loads and that the pressure dew point is stable. Five operating modes enable individual settings. If the flow rate falls below 20 %, the control system can switch the refrigeration compressor off completely. The condensate in the heat exchanger cools the compressed air until the dew point exceeds the set value. Only then does the refrigeration compressor switch back on. The frequency-controlled fan also reduces energy consumption.

Low CO2 footprint

The refrigeration dryer has a large display. Consistent data acquisition is the basis for process optimization and helps to identify faults. The DT series is equipped as standard with the climate-friendly and future-proof refrigerant R 513 A, which has a low greenhouse gas potential. The hermetically sealed refrigeration circuit eliminates the need for an annual leak test by certified refrigeration technicians. Boge therefore meets the requirements of the F-Gas Regulation EU 517/2014.
