Whether in laboratory or pharmaceutical technology, plant engineering or classic process technology, the halls of ACHEMA were bustling with activity, with 70,000 visitors. Dr. Thomas Scheuring, Managing Director of DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, was satisfied with the course of the exhibition: "The fact that we succeeded, despite all the headwinds, in organizing an ACHEMA that exceeded the expectations of the vast majority of our customers makes us happy and proud." In addition to participants from 127 nations, 2,211 exhibitors from 51 countries showed their innovations.
Focus topics of ACHEMA 2022 were the "Digital Lab", where the smart lab of tomorrow could be experienced. "Modular and Connected Production" picked up on the trend toward designing production lines in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries with the greatest possible flexibility. And with "Product and Process Security", the focus was on the topic of digital security in the age of Industry 4.0, networked production and in view of the high threat posed by cyberattacks. In the congress program, the hydrogen topics and presentations on sustainability, the circular economy and digitalization attracted particularly great interest.
