PPG announces management change for industrial coatings

There will be a change of management in the industrial coatings division at the American coatings specialist PPG on January 1, 2025.

Juliane Hefel, currently Vice President, Specialty Coatings and Materials (SCM) at PPG, has been appointed Senior Vice President of Industrial Coatings effective January 1, 2025. She will also continue to lead the global SCM business. Hefel will report to Tim Knavish, Chairman and CEO of PPG. She will also become a member of PPG's Operations Committee.

From Henkel to PPG

Juliane Hefel joined PPG from Henkel in September 2022. There she held various management positions with increasing responsibility. She now replaces Irene Tasi, the current Senior Vice President, Industrial Coatings. Tasi moves to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer and will also report to Knavish. Tasi will remain a member of the company's Operations Committee.

Leadership roles in the Asia-Pacific region

In addition, Xiaobing Nie, currently Vice President Industrial Coatings, China and Global Consumer Products, and President PPG Asia Pacific, is expanding her leadership responsibilities at Industrial Coatings to include the entire Asia Pacific region. Nie will remain based in Shanghai and report to Juliane Hefel. Nie joined PPG in 2021 from DuPont, where she held various commercial and marketing positions.
