With non-contact jetting processes, many practical problems in the handling of cyanoacrylates can easily be solved. For this purpose, Perfecdos GmbH offers the PDos X1 non-contact jet valve.

Cyanoacrylates have the advantage to cure extremely quickly at room temperature. The challenge is to ensure that the adhesive not only bonds the two parts, but that this bond also remains tight under higher pressure. This can be achieved with the help of the PDos X1 jet valve from Perfecdos. In contrast to a peristaltic pump that works by contact, the jet valve applies the cyanoacrylate in individual droplets at a very high frequency without contact, thus creating a sealing bead. The droplets can be between 250 µm and 2.5 mm in size. The adhesives are dispensed with a repeatability of 99% in relation to the dispensing volume.

The jet valve can be used to dispense freely in space. Perfecdos dispensing valves are designed - from a mechanical point of view - as a "normally closed" system (NC). Care has been taken in the design to ensure that leakage is reliably prevented in the event of a failure of the supply media. When metering cyanoacrylates, particular account must be taken of their reaction time. Material selection and design of the precision valves have been optimized to prevent rapid reaction of the material in the valve. In addition, the fast and easy cleaning of the valves contributes to the realization of effective cyanoacrylate jetting processes.
