The new black Vitralit BL UC adhesives from Panacol can be cured up to a thickness of more than 1 mm purely with UV LED light. With conventional UV adhesives, the black color absorbs a high percentage of the UV energy during curing. As a result, the UV radiation only penetrates a few micrometers into the layer, while the underlying adhesive remains uncured. With A Vitralit BL UC adhesives, on the other hand, Dr. Hönle's UV LED curing systems are precisely matched to the absorption wavelengths of the Black&Light technology, thus ensuring complete curing.
Encapsulation of electronic components
The new Black&Light adhesives Vitralit BL UC 1101, Vitralit BL UC 1102 and Vitralit BL UC 1103 cover a wide range of applications. They are suitable for the encapsulation of components, for glob tops or edge bonding in electronics production. They can also be used as optical adhesives in applications that require high OD values (optical density).
Reliable bonding results
All three adhesives offer good mechanical properties such as high glass transition temperatures, low shrinkage and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. These properties ensure reliable bonding results and high thermal and positional stability. As the Black&Light technology is compatible with many Vitralit epoxy resin adhesives from Panacol, individual adhesive solutions are also possible that are tailored to specific curing conditions and/or mechanical properties.
