The new OmniCore robot controller from ABB Robotics enables a robot path accuracy of less than 0.6 mm. Even when several robots are working at high speeds of up to 1,600 mm/s. This feature opens up new automation possibilities in areas where maximum precision is required. This is the case in arc welding, cell phone display assembly, gluing and laser cutting, for example. Compared to the previous ABB controller, OmniCore makes robot operation up to 25 percent faster. Energy consumption is reduced by 20 percent.

The control system is based on a scalable, modular control architecture. This offers a wide range of functions for the development of a wide variety of applications. OmniCore is therefore suitable for all companies that want to automate processes in existing and new segments.
More than thousands of hardware and software functions
More than 1,000 hardware and software functions are available to plan, execute, maintain and optimize operational processes. This is made possible by ABB software functions such as Absolute Accuracy and PickMaster Twin, as well as hardware options ranging from external axes and vision systems to fieldbuses.
Control via a single integrated system
