The surfaceControl 3xx0 sensor series from Micro-Epsilon offers high 3D data quality, fast output via modern interfaces and powerful software. The sensors in this series are now also available with a measuring range of 30 mm.

The new variant of the surfaceControl 3xx0 series from Micro-Epsilon with a measuring range of 30 mm complements the surfaceControl 3D series of geometry, form and surface inspection systems for matt targets. In addition to a high resolution of 0.7 micrometers in the z-direction, the sensor also offers precise horizontal measurement with an accuracy of 16 micrometers. This increases the number of possible applications.

Suitable for smaller objects

The surfaceControl 3xx0 sensor from Micro-Epsilon 3D surface measurement technology is suitable for smaller objects with a maximum dimension of 31 mm x 19.5 mm. The working distance between sensor and object is 130 mm. For measurements in harsh production environments or for use on robots, the sensor is embedded in a sturdy aluminum housing and certified with protection class IP67.

Checking fine structures

The surfaceControl sensors are used in electronics production, among other things. Printed circuit boards are usually subjected to meticulous quality control. The SC35x0-30 is primarily used to inspect very small structures on assembled electronic modules. It can be used, for example, to check the correct placement of the smallest SMD components on the PCB. In addition to height measurement in the z-direction, the horizontal accuracy of the measurement is also crucial here.
