The new colorSENSOR CFO250 color sensor from Micro-Epsilon has a high measurement data transmission rate of 500 Hz. It can be used in ongoing production for industrial color testing.

The colorSENSOR CFO250 from Micro-Epsilon is a high-performance color sensor. Its field of application is industrial color inspection when high speeds are required. The raw data generated can be transmitted directly to the PLC in the Lab or XYZ color space at up to 500 Hz. Edge or level triggers control the measurement duration and number of measured values. The colorSENSOR CFO250 complements the Micro-Epsilon color sensor controller portfolio.

Fast measurement data output up to 500 Hz

While the colorSENSOR CFO100 with a measuring rate of 10 kHz and the colorSENSOR CFO200 with a measuring rate of 30 kHz focus on displaying precise color results, the new colorSENSOR CFO250 has a significantly faster measurement data output of up to 500 Hz at a measuring rate of 30 kHz, with otherwise unchanged properties.

Raw data in Lab or XYZ color spaces

Taught-in colors are compared with the current measured value and evaluated internally by the controller. The raw data can be provided in Lab or XYZ color spaces via UDP, RS232 or the USB interface. The data is forwarded via a simplified, binary 3-byte protocol.
