Metrohm adds the analysis software 'Omnis NIRS' to the Omnis software platform. In addition to all variants of titration, near-infrared spectroscopy is now also available in Omnis. The main advantages of near-infrared spectroscopy are its speed, ease of use, non-destructive nature and chemical-free operation. Omnis NIRS is available in three versions: Omnis NIRS Liquid for liquid samples, Omnis NIRS Solid for solid and viscous matrices and Omnis NIRS Liquid/Solid, which allows the user to measure both liquid and solid samples with the same instrument.
Multi-parameter analysis for results in seconds
With the OMNIS NIR Analyzer, liquid and solid samples can be measured in less than 10 seconds. Thanks to advanced sensor technology, liquid samples are quickly and accurately adjusted to any desired temperature between 25 and 80°C and sample introduction is detected for fast analysis of large sample batches without the need for software interaction. Solids are measured in an automated rotation mode that ensures high reproducibility of results even with very inhomogeneous samples.
Near-infrared spectroscopy for everyone
With Omnis, no prior knowledge of chemometrics is required. The Omnis Model Developer (OMD) automatically defines prediction model parameters, making the integration of NIR spectroscopy easy. The Omnis NIR analyzers recognize sample holders, ensuring that the correct sample vessels are used according to the defined SOPs. This feature and the clear user guidance provided by the Omnis software reduce the risk of user error.
