The most important features of the latest Metrohm IC systems "Going Microbore" are 2-mm separation columns, capillaries optimized for this purpose and a new conductivity detector with reduced volume. This means that users of the new system can save up to 75% of the eluent while increasing the sensitivity of their analysis by up to 20%.
At the heart of Metrohm's Microbore IC systems is the new MB conductivity detector, which tolerates challenging eluents such as methanesulfonic acid (MSA). With an upgrade to MagIC Net 4.1, this detector can also be used with all of Metrohm's current standard bore IC systems. With a special kit, any standard Metrohm IC system can be converted to a Microbore IC system.
