Wieland Anlagen- und Apparatebau has a new owner: Meeh Pulverbeschichtungs- und Staubfilteranlagen GmbH takes over. The site in Epfenbach and 30 jobs are retained.

"Wieland is known as a reliable manufacturer of customized equipment. Many customers have remained loyal to the company in recent months," says Ulrich Meeh, managing director of Meeh. According to him, the products and the know-how of the employees represent a fitting addition to the product portfolio. In addition, the takeover strengthens Meeh's market position in Germany as well as in Europe.

At the time of the insolvency application, the company was facing many challenges simultaneously, according to insolvency administrator Dr. Jürgen Erbe. This situation, he said, had not made it easy to continue business operations and had made it imperative for an investor to quickly step in and bring a new concept to the site. "I am very pleased, especially for the employees, that we have succeeded in maintaining the site. Not only have we been able to put Wieland back on a stable footing for the future, but in MEEH we have found an investor who comes from the industry and knows the market."
