The "Hamburgs beste Arbeitgeber" award has been presented annually for 14 years by an independent agency together with Professor Werner Sarges of Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg. The company evaluation is based on qualified empirical surveys of employees as well as managers and standardized audits. Mankiewicz scored particularly well in the aspects of design diversity, innovative strength and loyalty.
In terms of "design diversity," the jury praised the variety of professional fields and training and development opportunities as well as the international working environment. Under the heading of "loyalty", the judges were particularly impressed by the management's high level of commitment to its employees and the strong promotion of young talent in eight commercial and technical apprenticeships and dual study programs. The employees were very positive about the opportunity to help develop new products and technologies, create sustainable coating solutions and make customers' coating processes more efficient.
