Laserline presents highly efficient solutions for processing sheet metal, copper and aluminum components. One focus is on solutions for the laser curing of powder coatings.

Laserline will be presenting its wide range of high-power diode lasers and processing optics for joining, hardening and coating applications at EuroBLECH 2024 (October 22 to 25 in Hanover, Hall 26, Stand J52). One focus of the trade fair presentation is the laser curing of powder coatings using ultra-wide spot irradiation technology. The process offers an economical and ecological alternative to gas-powered oven processes.

Laser curing of powder coatings

Laser irradiation only heats the exact area that is to be coated at any one time, without stirring up particles. The laser systems require no preheating time and the laser power can be adjusted within milliseconds during the process. In this way, a 90 percent faster heating rate and significantly higher overall energy efficiency can be achieved.

Energy and material-efficient coating solutions

Laserline will also be showcasing energy- and material-efficient coating solutions, including for the brake disks of road vehicles. The laser coating ensures long-term corrosion and wear protection and reduces the amount of fine dust produced by the braking process, which is harmful to the environment and health, by up to 90 percent.
