Under the motto "Joining Technology for the Energy Transition", a transfer event will take place on April 10 and 11, 2024 at the Stahl-Zentrum in Düsseldorf. The Research Association for Welding and Allied Processes of the DVS and the FOSTA Research Association for Steel Application cooperated to plan and design the event. In April, the latest research results from joint industrial research projects on the topic of the "energy transition" will be presented in Düsseldorf. The event will focus on materials, joining processes and quality management.
Potential of the energy transition for joining technology
The energy transition poses particular challenges for joining technology and at the same time offers considerable potential for companies. Without precise joints, high-performance solar modules, modern wind turbines or innovative fuel cells would be inconceivable. Green electricity will be followed by green hydrogen, the production, transportation, storage and use of which will require special joining technology solutions in the future.
