IST Metz has developed LEDcure NX, a new water-cooled LED UV system for industrial applications. The system is aimed at users in printing and coating processes who require reproducible curing results, thermal stability, and efficient energy use.
Water-cooled LED UV technology for consistent processes
The LEDcure NX achieves an efficiency of 48 percent at a maximum electrical power of 79 W/cm. According to IST Metz, this value exceeds the efficiency level of conventional LED UV systems. The uniform radiation characteristics are said to enable reproducible curing results while reducing the thermal load on the substrates.
Modular design and integration into existing systems
Thanks to its modular design, the system can be integrated into both new and existing production lines. Water cooling ensures a constant operating temperature, which can have a positive effect on the service life of the LEDs and reduces thermally induced process deviations. The system thus aims to achieve stable process control and high system availability.
Energy efficiency and process control
For further optimization, the LEDcure NX can be combined with IST Metz's Smartcure control technology. The AI-supported solution analyzes process parameters in real time and adjusts the LED power to the respective requirements. The aim is to reduce energy consumption and support consistent curing quality.
Areas of application and investment security
The LEDcure NX is designed for a variety of industrial applications, including narrow-web printing processes as well as coating and curing processes with increased requirements for process stability. The system comes with a warranty of up to ten years in accordance with the applicable warranty conditions.
