At the International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3) stand at Achema, five young companies will be showcasing solutions for a more sustainable world. Some of the 14 start-ups have received the 'Start-up of the Month' award as part of an ISC3 funding program. The solutions include, for example, textile dyes made from microorganisms from the start-up Vienna Textile Lab. The Austrian biotech company has focused on the research, development and production of textile dyes from microorganisms in order to create a commercially viable alternative to conventional synthetic dyes.
Circular solutions for the process industry
The joint stand with the start-ups is located in the "Research and Innovation" area in Hall 6.0. The focus is on the fields of work and courses offered by university institutes and research facilities from Germany and abroad as well as start-ups that offer fossil-free, bio-based and cycle-oriented solutions for the process industry.
Start-up Slam
The Start-up Slam will take place on 12.6: Young companies from India, Egypt, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany will present their ideas at the EY Green Innovation Stage (Hall 6.0). "Sustainable chemistry is a key driver for the process industry of the future," says Dr. Alexis Bazzanella, Director ISC3 Innovation Hub. By presenting the start-ups at Achema, the organizers are offering all players the opportunity to network.
Support for 200 start-ups
The list of start-ups that the ISC3 has supported since 2018 shows the creativity and innovative power of founders around the world. "We founded the ISC3 Global Start-up Service with more than 200 start-ups worldwide to show alternative paths to a green transformation," says Dr. Thomas Wanner, Managing Director ISC3.
