The award is given to individuals or companies that use vacuum technology for the benefit of people and the environment. By converting nearly all types of plastic waste into environmentally friendly fuels and chemicals, Quantafuel helps reduce pollution and emissions.
Busch is helping Quantafuel develop its innovative pyrolysis process, which melts all types of used, recycled plastic waste and then produces mineral oil from the pyrolysis gas. The mineral oil itself is produced during the melting process. Dolphin liquid ring vacuum pumps from Busch are used for degassing during the pyrolysis process. The gas is then compressed for the further process using vacuum technology.
