This repositioning is accompanied by a change at the top of the association: Angelika El- Noshokaty takes over as Managing Director and replaces Marius Baader. Aluminum Germany represents around 150 companies with more than 61,000 employees and an annual turnover of almost 25 billion euros.
Fundamental strategic repositioning
The fundamental strategic repositioning of Aluminum Germany was decided by the member companies. It also includes the relocation of the association's headquarters from Düsseldorf to Berlin. The association had previously delegated parts of its representation of interests to the WirtschaftsVereinigung Metalle, from which it will leave at the end of 2025.
Extensive experience in the political representation of interests
Angelika El-Noshokaty can look back on 15 years of experience in the political representation of interests. After working in the German Bundestag and in political strategy consulting for industrial companies, she was most recently responsible for representing German interests in Berlin at Novelis, a manufacturer of flat-rolled aluminum products and aluminum recycler. In addition to her knowledge of the Berlin and Brussels political scene, she also has experience in political communication and campaign design and knows the challenges of the aluminum industry in detail thanks to her most recent professional position.
Know-how for the upcoming transformation
Rob van Gils: "With Angelika El-Noshokaty, Aluminum Germany has been able to gain an intimate connoisseur of both the Berlin political scene and our material as Managing Director. She has everything it takes to successfully manage our association's business in the upcoming transformation and beyond."
