Evonik Coating Additives is expanding its portfolio of defoamers in the Tego Foamex series with a new, highly effective siloxane defoamer. The new product, called Tego Foamex 8051, has been specially designed for water-based architectural paints.
Easy to apply thanks to polyethersiloxane technology
The defoamer concentrate is based on polyethersiloxane technology, which makes it easy to incorporate into paint formulations. The polyethersiloxane technology also ensures reliable defoaming performance, especially for coatings with a high PVC content. In addition, the additive shows a persistently strong effect under high shear forces.
Defoams over a long period of time
The defoaming performance is maintained even after prolonged storage. The product is registered worldwide (e.g. USA, EU, China, Japan), contains no declarable hazardous substances and meets the strict criteria of the EU Ecolabel 2014/312/EU. This is proven by its low VOC values (volatile organic compounds) of 0.08 % and SVOC values (semi-volatile organic compounds) of 0.19 % (measured according to DIN ISO 11890/2).
