The Future Labs Live Basel 2025 event from May 27 to 28 set a new attendance record with 3,730 participants, making it the best-attended event in this series to date. Geographically, Switzerland dominated with 51% of participants, followed by Germany (17%) and the UK (6%). The two-day event at the Congress Center Basel brought together laboratory professionals from all over Europe and beyond. Around 100 exhibitors and 200 speakers presented technologies for laboratory research and development.
Exhibitors and conference program
The conference programme included contributions on the topics of automation, digitalization, AI and networking. Practical topics from everyday laboratory life such as data management, current standards and analyses were also presented. Other speakers focused on solutions for the efficient organization of laboratory operations or presented new products for laboratory equipment.
Visienco wins the start-up competition
Over 40 start-ups were represented in the start-up zone. Visienco won the start-up competition. The jury consisted of Tatiana Benavides (Project Manager, Swissnex), Maximilian Kammerinke (Investment Manager VC, Henkel), Giorgia Scetta (PhD, Materials Science & Accelerator Partner Manager, MassChallenge) and Andreas Steinbacher (Senior Director Software Products, Novo Nordisk).
