Registration deadline for the next CEC laboratory robin test test is running

In May, the Cleaning Excellence Center (CEC) is once again offering a laboratory ring test for particulate measuring systems in accordance with VDA 19.1. This allows test results to be validated in an anonymous comparison with other laboratories.

The next laboratory ring test test will start in May 2024. The closing date for applications is 30.04.2024. A laboratory robin test, as offered by the CEC, is a method of external quality assurance for measuring systems. Identical reference samples with the same procedures are tested on different measuring systems. The test results are then compared anonymously. The comparison of the results makes it possible to make statements about the measurement quality of the measurement systems involved.

Regular inspection of the measuring systems

In-house laboratories are recommended to have their measuring systems checked regularly as part of their quality management system and to include this in their quality management manual in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

Standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

For accredited testing laboratories, it is even mandatory to regularly take part in interlaboratory tests as part of state approval procedures. Annual participation is recommended as part of the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Proof of measurement competence

By participating in the laboratory ring test, the participating companies demonstrate their competence in successfully carrying out cleanliness analyses on their particulate measuring systems. In audits, accreditations and in the customer-supplier relationship, evidence of this kind is highly significant.
